The Herro's Journey documentary focusing on Wisconsin based wrestler and promotor David Herro is now available on Vimeo.
David Herro is a Wisconsin based professional wrestler and promoter for Great Lakes Championship Wrestling (GLCW). His professional wrestling journey was documented by Chicago based production company Under the L Productions, and is now available for viewing on Vimeo. The new release of the film includes new footage that was not part of the previous screenings of the film.
The film is the directorial debut for Danny Reyes (Drey Richards) and was produced by David Vox Mullen and David Herro.
The Herro’s Journey is Available on Demand
The film covers the life and career of Herro both inside and outside of the wrestling ring. Herro is also the promoter for Great Lakes Championship Wrestling (GLCW). The film gives an insight to Herro’s work and personal life as he prepares for GLCW’s yearly marquee event, Blizzard Brawl.
The film also follows his son and current Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) Heavyweight Champion, Kal Herro as he trains and competes and trains under the guidance of David’s good friend and former World Wrestling Federation (WWF), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and current OVW performer Al Snow.
Kal Herro has worked to hone his craft throughout the independent circuit inside and outside of the OVW ring. Raised by his father David Herro, who is a marquee figure in the world of independent wrestling, Kal Herro is poised to become the “Prince of the Indie Wrestling Scene. Don’t take the Indie Prince Kal Herro’s kind demeanor for granted. As The Herro’s Journey shows, when the bell rings Kal is not one to be taken lightly and is capable of putting on matches that engage the audience through his storytelling between the ropes. From going the distance in battle royals, to helping his dad win his final match, Kal Herro engages and entertains audiences across the independent wrestling scene.
From the Red Carpet to Home Screens
The Herro's Journey: Red Carpet Premiere Interviews and Recap
The Chicago-based production company Under the L Productions presented its first feature film, The Herro’s Journey: A Pro-Wrestling Story, with a red carpet premiere. The event took place in West Bend, Wisconsin, at the West Bend Theater on May 23rd.
The film officially premiered with a red carpet premiere in West Bend Wisconsin. The red carpet took place on Friday May 23rd, 2025 at the West Bend Theater.
The stars of the film walked the red carpet along with other members of the cast such as “Iron” Mike Curkov, and Adam Scherr who was known as Braun Strowman in the WWE. Reyes, Mullen, Snow, David, and Kal Herro also took part in a post screening Q&A that was moderated by Curkov.
The Herro’s Journey is going through reviews at multiple film festivals. The film won at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival and was a finalist for the Remember the Future World Film Festival in Cannes, as well as an official selection for the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival and Lift-Off Global Network New York Film Festival.
