Spirit Bomb: A Live Anime Experience
Spirit Bomb plays all the anime music you know and love in a high energy setting that features neon lights, cosplay guests, and more!
Spirit Bomb is a band based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, that performs anime theme covers and original music on stages across the United States.
The band utilizes a combination of LED stage lighting, anime intro videos, LED glow sticks in the audience, and high-energy dance-driven anime music to create a giant party atmosphere that is fun for fans of all forms of anime.
The band played two shows across the Midwest on January 10th and 11th with shows at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago and the X-Ray Arcade in Milwaukee. During these shows cosplay guests such as Moon Prism Cosplay, Ilia Revenge, Chaotic Clown Princess, and Chaotic Clown Prince attended the shows to be part of the show. The crowd is encouraged to sing and dance alongside the band and cosplayers throughout the show.
I caught up with the band and some of the cosplayers throughout the weekend as we chatted about how the band started, musical influences, and of course anime!
The group is comprised of vocalist Elaina Sekino, guitarist Kevin Samuel, drummer/vocalist Damian Hyde, and bassist Oni. The full interview with the band and cosplayers, as well as footage from the shows, can be found in the video below. Keep up with everyone at the links below!
Thank you to Spirit Bomb, the cosplayers, and the Beat Kitchen and X-Ray Arcade for allowing me to be part of this weekend.
